Resurrection Rolls

I am still in desperate need of detailing all of the birthday fun that has been going on around here...and I will...as soon as there is some breathing time, but this is a quick post, so here I am.

Today was the day of doctors.  Yesterday, Devin had a 103+ fever as soon as we got home from Church--yay.
Today, I had Dallin's 6 year-old check-up scheduled so I added Devin into the appointment.  So I got the kids off to school, got Devin down for a quick nap and then about an hour later picked up Dallin from school and took the boys to the doctor.   Dallin is doing great in the 75% in height and 45% in weight.  He's a very lean boy.  Devin has blisters on his throat.  All that means, no medicine, it very well could spread throughout the family, and I have a very very very cranky baby--again yay.
Oh and by the way, he threw up his dinner from last night on the way to the doctors office, so he went into the office in the stroller wrapped in my nursing cover, that's all I had--wow, super fun.
Then I got Dallin back to school went to my friends house to get Kylie and fed the young ones a quick lunch and got back in the car to take Kylie to her Pediatric Rehabilitation and Spasticity Specialist (try saying that 5 times fast).  David met me there--thank goodness, Devin would have complicated things if I were by myself.
We left.  We are going to try some spring loaded kind of AFO thingy  (I have no idea how to explain it, but the goal is to work on her ankle flexibility).
We headed home, ran quickly to the grocery store to pick up stuff for the resurrection rolls and then headed to another friend's house who had picked up the older two kids for me from school.  We came home and oh yeah, Kylie screamed for about 45 minutes in there, then we got home and Devin started screaming if I dared put him down--whew.
Homework was finished, piano practiced, FHE Easter lesson put together by Emily (I gathered all the supplies for the 12 Easter Egg lesson) we had dinner, took baths and finally around 7:45 made our resurrection rolls, for our Family Night treat.
They are crescent rolls (representing the linens)
half of a marshmallow (representing Christ)
Marshmallow dipped in melted butter and then cinnamon and sugar (representing the oils and spices used to prepare the body)
Roll it up in the crescent
Pinch it tight
Bake in the oven (representing the tomb)
The rolls puff up and the marshmallow disappears.
Christ Resurrected.
And you are left with a hollow yummy cinnamon roll
Pretty fun!
Enjoy some pictures and I need to go to bed...

I swear, I could not do your life Amy! I am truly amazed at what you are doing on a daily basis. Know that I think of you often because of that! And those rolls look really yummy. I think I will use that idea this weekend!
