Kylie's 4th birthday came and went, but I am finally getting around to documenting it. She went to school that day and that night we opened presents. Here she is opening tickets to a Children's Banjo concert we got for her. She loves all music. It's in a couple of weeks and I'm sure she will love it!
Looking for the good stuff
This towel was definitely not her favorite gift, she got some crinkle toys that she loves, but we actually caught a smile from her on camera, which is a miracle!!!
Being goofy! She doesn't communicate much, but she certainly knew the attention was on her! I'm so glad.
The next night was Emily's 2nd Grade School Play, called The Unity Tree. There were 22 speaking parts out of the whole grade and she got one of them. They had little auditions and everything. She was very excited and she did great. She was Cat #2, (great character names, huh?!) I went back to help the kiddos get ready beforehand and got some cute pictures of the cats and dogs in the play. She insisted she not wear her glasses for the performance.
Here's one with her and Gabe, the other little boy from her class that had a part. If I had to guess I would say there was a little crush going on from him. I've seen notes to her declaring her cuteness!!
Bad lighting, but during the production
Emily's grandparent's and cousins and aunts came to watch her. Here she is with her cousins, Heidi, Nicole and Hannah. After the play we went to the school playground with all the family and had cookies and milk and Kylie opened all of her presents from her relatives.
It was a great night!
