Amy usually posts on this blog, but I thought I’d add a little. The Saturday before Labor Day, 8-30, we took the kids to Galveston to Stewart Beach. We had a great time, the weather was perfect. The waves were much stronger than usual, I assume due to Hurricane Gustav. It was very interesting, since the hurricane was off the coast of Florida at the time. Anyway, it was a great trip to the beach. We made a realization as we left, however. Amy had sprayed all of us with aerosol sun screen. It is awesome stuff, no mess, no missing spots, etc. We’ve used it all summer and had no problems. We made a discovery this particular day, however. When Amy sprayed me last, it ran out just as she finished my back. No big deal, we had some of the regular goopy white lotion stuff to finish my legs and face. About an hour before we left, I began to realize that I was feeling heat form the sun much more than I should have. Oh well, I guess I’ll get a slight burn- I’m lazy like that. As we drove home, however, I was hurting more and more. When I took off my shirt to get in the shower we realized just how bad the burn was. We didn’t take a picture until Tuesday, so it had healed some by then but you can still get the point. Caution, the following image is disturbing and may not be suitable for young eyes. Or for old eyes for that matter. I’m no Fabio to be sure. In this picutre, at least, I look embarrassingly like a tiger.

Can you guess where Amy sprayed the sunscreen? Apparently when it starts running out, the mist doesn't cover very well. I am now itchy and peeling across... parts of my back.
