Napoleon revisited

I have a coworker with a website where he sells shirts, http://www.hotpokershirts.com/. I've never been too interested, since I am not a poker player, but his newest shirt is great. I bought one for Amy, which she proudly wore last Thursday. She got tons of compliments when walking Emily to school, and Emily's teacher even asked to buy one! Being huge Napoleon Dynamite fans, put together with being fans of Sarah Palin, this is perfect. I think her awesome performance at the debate can be attributed, at least partly, to Amy's shirt. She helped create the karma that Palin needed. Being the new kid on the block, Palin sure held her own. Not the experience or depth of Biden, but that's what's so great about her. She's not bogged down by decades in Washington. On the other hand, the experience she does have is actually substantive- unlike Obama. The fact that he won the nomination is a sad commentary on things. A rookie with no executive experience whatsoever, he basically throws candy into the crowd and wins the popularity contest, like in high school. Remember how you decided who to vote for for student council? It was whoever you had a crush on, or who threw the best candy into the crowd. Kind of like Obama- he's inspiring, so we'll just ignore the dozens of skeletons in his closet. What really puzzles me, is that McCain is about as liberal as they come for Republicans. Obama is as far left as can be (proven by his votes, not my opinion), and McCain is practically a Democrat he's so centrist. People say they are sick of partisanship, well McCain is your man. Why do you think the Republicans had such a revolt over him winning the nomination? Because he's not conservative! Painting him as a right wing extremist is ridiculous. He's the lesser of two evils, to be sure, but he's no true conservative. But at least we know he won't tax our economy into another depression, he'll nominate judges to protect the unborn, and he doesn't think America is what's wrong with this world.

Whew! Nice to get that off my chest. And now we return you to Amy's normal blog entries about crazy things the kids do. I bet she never lets me post on this blog again...
