George Ranch

Well, David took the day off of work and we dropped Kylie off at school at 8:30am and then all headed out to George Ranch.  We were the only ones there for a couple of hours.  It was great!  The man in the first house talked to us for a long time.   He made the older kids each a piece of rope and let the kids let the chickens out of the coop and then promised us eggs when we left. We came back around 1:30pm and collected our 11 brown fresh eggs that the kids got to go around and collect themselves.

We then toured the next house where the kids got an etiquette lesson on table manners and then we rode the tractor to the blacksmiths shop.  We ended up speaking with the blacksmith for some time and he made the kids a little J-hook out of metal as we were speaking with him.  We walked across the bridge and saw the cowboys, leaned to lasso and saw other homes and a cowboy show.  The day was long and hot, but so nice and fun.

Sure do love these kiddos!!

We left and headed to Rosenberg, where we found a tiny hole in the wall burger place that was yummy and then headed back to Sugar Land.  We had a groupon for Berripop Frozen Yogurt and so we stopped there, but soon realized that they no longer sell slushies, so we got a couple of frozen yogurts and then headed to Swirll where Emily was able to get a sorbet with toppings. It stopped the tears.  I so hate her milk allergy...

All in all an excellent day.  Kylie, I hope you enjoyed yourself at school today!  Once again, David and I kept being in shock how easy it was and simple it was to spend the day with the other three kids, no one got grumpy or stressed--blessings...
