Another Good-bye

My grandmother, my father's mother (not the wife of the grandpa that just passed away) passed away Wednesday morning in her sleep. She had laid down to take a nap in her home and later when it had been several hours my grandfather went to check on her only to find that she had passed on. She loved playing games and cooking amazing food. She loved the ocean and entertaining friends. She will be so greatly missed. Her obitutary follows. I told people over Christmas that I was the oldest person I knew (except my older sister) with all 4 grandparents living. Now 4 months later I only have 2. We love and miss you Grandma Florida :)

Hufstedler, Barbara L. Barbara L. Hufstedler, age 85, of The Colony, Texas passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at her residence. Barbara was born October 22, 1924 in Clay, Kentucky to W. Carl Wallace and Ruby A. Fike. Barbara is survived by her husband, Frank Hufstedler of The Colony and two children, Deborah Kay Brunson of Plano and Michael F. Hufstedler of Richmond, TX; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She married Frank C. Hufstedler on September 13, 1944 in the naval air chapel in Corpus Christie, TX. They would have celebrated their 66th anniversary in 2010. No services are planned at this time. Her family will carry out her wishes to scatter her remains in her favorite vacation spots in the Caribbean.
