Brownies and Bugs

First of all, Kylie is not just pulling up some of the time, it's all of the time now.  She is getting into everything!!!  That is great news and we are proud, but wowsa she is a bit difficult to teach.  She basically doesn't care what we say and she does what she wants or screams about it--so much for the non-caring kid.  She is great though and we love her to pieces and are so excited that she is learning and moving so much more.

The other night we had brownies for dessert and I decided she was ready for such a treat.  She enjoyed them immensely, but I am pretty sure only Kylie could make this kind of mess from a couple of small bites of brownies.

Ok, on to the bug, my little bity 6-year-old had a science project with a little science fair where all the moms and dads and siblings came by to see.  She had a blast and I went through a ton of hot glue sticks.  I will say that she enjoyed the whole process much more than I did, especially when she said she want to papier mache the head, but it turned out cute.  I guess they will just turn out smarter than we did, having science projects that little...

Anyway, they had to create their own unique insect, name it and write a paragraph about it where it lives, what it does, etc.  So, here is Abugail.  She came up with the name and we helped her with the spelling.

That's all folks!

Abugail is a riot. I love it. And honestly, what project is a project without hot glue?!? Love that stuff.

Kylie's brownie face cracks me up. She probably ate it with the glee the rest of us feel when we eat them, but don't show. She's too cute.

Just so you know, the teachers don't enjoy the science fair anymore than the parents! :) Emily did such a fantastic job - what a good mom you are to be so supportive. I'm glad to hear Kylie is doing so well - we always cheer like crazy over here in Holland when we hear she's mastering new skills. :)

I love the bug and the name.

I think we need to get together and celebrate our little munchkins. That is awesome what wonderful progress and things that Kylie is doing.
