Wizard of Oz

Ok, I have been a grade A terrible blogger.  I haven't had much to say, nor the time or energy to say anything.  But here we are, in March.  February flew by and brought with it a mountain of colds for all.  Devin ended up in urgent care one night and had a double ear infection that took 3 rounds of antibiotics to clear.  Emily got new trendy purple glasses.  They are super cute.  I would never have the guts to wear them, but I am glad I am raising her.  That kid is amazing.  Dallin is amazing us every day with how smart he is, somehow, I don't think we realized.  He is excelling in piano and reading and aces everything at school and quite frankly I think 1st grade is pretty boring to him.  He still delights in torturing his sister and loves loves loves his little brother.  Devin.is.crazy.  Terrible two's have hit--and he doesn't hit 2 for another month.  But we love him.  He is talking so much more and making some of the most ridiculous little sentences that are adorable.  Since I have been typing this short paragraph, the little monster got into last night's FHE treats (Dallin made, funfetti cupcakes) and proceeded to eat the frosting off of 4 of them!  It's 8:45 in the morning...
Well, what else?  Kylie is still Kylie.  She still drives me a bit batty and we have put up more gates and more locks on doors to keep her at bay.  However, since her casts are gone and have been for months and she has new AFO's, she is walking a bit more, with assistance of course. She still enjoys school and I can't believe she will go all day next year--she'll be 5 soon and that is unreal to me.

On to the title of the post.  In January, Emily was in Wizard of Oz.  Auditions were in November and she sang her little heart out.  This was the local high school's musical.  They had auditions and accepted 40 elementary kids as munchkins.  Later they had try-outs for speaking parts and she got the most significant one out of the little kids, the barrister.  She loves the stage and had a great time with it.  Rehearsals almost killed me, but it in the end it was so fun to see her up there.

Well, the Wizard of Oz was fun, I honestly, am glad it is over and on to the next major adventure...I'll tell you about that tomorrow...
