Christmas

Well, Christmas has come and gone and left me with a messy house and exhaustion, but it was fun.  We had David's brother, wife and their 5 kiddos come in on Friday and stay through Christmas eve festivities.  David's parent's joined us for Christmas eve.  We had a full house, tons of food and a good time.  Christmas morning came early as we hadn't wrapped a single gift until Christmas eve night.  We were up until almost 1am and then kids woke up at 6.  Santa came, so all is well.  He left my kids spoiled rotten, but isn't that how it is supposed to be???  Devin got the Let's Rock, Elmo.  He is in love with all things Elmo, whom he calls "qua-qua"  most things he says sound like the actual word, but not Elmo, go figure.  Kylie got beads--a very large assortment of beads, and money to fix the giant hole that she has made in the wall with her head...Dallin got a basketball goal and Emily, a bike.  Today has been spent assembling toys and enjoying them, even though it was freezing this morning and raining.  The weather has cleared and warmed up a bit this afternoon so that is nice.  Emily didn't get one of her wishes for Christmas, however.  She is a bit disappointed.  She had asked to have Gavin disappear.  David texted Gavin's dad, and Gavin is still in tact--oh well...I really don't think Santa does that sort of thing. :)  (Gavin is our neighbor, who is in Emily's 3rd grade class.  He is in love and so he does what all 3rd grade boys do, he tortures her endlessly---ahh, the perils of growing up.)  My parent's and sister came over on Christams day and brought most of Christmas dinner.  It's been a long fun weekend.

On to some pictures!  My parent's got the kiddos a trampoline and my dad came over this morning to help with all the assembly.  Thanks dad!!
Waiting for mom's ok to see what is in the living room Christmas morning...at 6am...
 The trampoline
Making lots of baskets (it's adjustable height)
 the new bike
Ok totally random picture, but this is Dallin's friend Harley, who just moved away last weekend.  She is such a sweet girl.  She and Dallin used to walk home from kindergarten holding hands last year.  He had it bad...she's a cutie!

Merry Christmas!!

Glad you had a nice Christmas! It is a very fun, but tiring holiday! I always have to work, and we have to try and get my birthday festivities out of the way. So glad we can relax now!
