the last straw

Amy is not a fan of me posting my political rants on her blog, but sometimes I simply must vent. I am confident that I will get support from across the political spectrum on this one, so please, read on. President Obama has gone too far. I have disagreed with many (nearly all) of what he has done, but this is a sin that even the most tree hugging, bleeding heart, pacifist leftist will agree with me on. After waiting TWO MONTHS to make his decision on sending more troops to Afghanistan, he chooses to give his speech announcing his decision tonight. TONIGHT! Why is this a problem, you ask? Oh, it is a HUGE problem, one we all recognize. Why, with all the nights to choose from, did Obama choose to give his speech at precisely the same time as "A Charlie Brown Christmas" was scheduled to air??? Is it because our first black president feels that Franklin is held back by a white boy named Brown? Or does he just hate all children, who will be crushed by this decision? As I said before, no matter what your political leanings are, I think we can all agree that this is unacceptable. No one messes with A Charlie Brown Christmas and gets away with it. Censure! Impeachment! Or worst of all--as Veggie Tales has taught us-- banishment to the land of eternal tickling!

As my own personal form of protest, I hereby openly revolt against this repulsive action by our President. Since he won't let you watch Charlie Brown, I will.
