settling in to life

Yesterday we blessed Kylie at church (i.e. the Mormon version of Christening).  It went very well, and we were happy to have both sides of the family there.  After church we all had lunch together, which was nice.

At her appointment on Friday, Kylie weighed 7 lbs 10 oz, so she is gaining very well.  The best part about her weight gain is that the doctor doesn’t need to see her every single week anymore.  This really is good for Amy, taking one appointment off the busy schedule each week.

Today was physical therapy.  The therapist is working on her to stretch out her joints, in particular her shoulders and back.  Kylie wheezes quite a bit when she breathes.  She coughs and has problems swallowing, as I have written before.  When the therapist got her shoulders to loosen up and relax, getting rid of the hunch, her breathing cleared up quite a bit.  The therapist is very hopeful that she can make good progress, so we are relieved to hear that.  None of her joints have normal range, but hopefully they all will in time.

Here are some pictures from yesterday, showing off Kylie's ensemble.  Click on the pictures to make them larger.
